dr hab. inż. Wojciech J. Krzysztofik
Wojciech J. Krzysztofik received the M. Sc., Ph.D., and DSc (habilitation) degrees from Wroclaw University of Technology, WRUT, Wroclaw, Poland, both in Electrical Engineering, in 1974, 1983, 2012 respectively. Since 1974 he has been a member of the Department of Electronics Engineering,EED, the Institute of Telecommunications, Teleinformatics & Acoustics, ITTA, of the Wroclaw University of Technology, and since 2013 - at the Department of Telecommunications & Teleinformatics, the College of Electronic Engineering where he is currently a Professor.
Dr hab. inż. W.J. Krzysztofik has been a vice Dean of Faculty of Electronics Engineering at WUT of Wroclaw since 2002 till 2005. He has visited different Research Institutes, Universities, and Industries in Europe, and U.S. In 1988 he was a Visiting Professor at the Chalmers University of Technology, Sweden. Since 1988 to 1990 he was engaged as a Professor of Telecommunications at the College of Engineering of Mosul University, Iraq. In 2002 he visited the three U.S. Universities at Texas: the University of Texas at Austin, University of Huston at Huston, and the Texas A&M University at College Station, and in 2010 he also visited the International Miami University, Floryda US, and the Center for Wireless Communications and Signal Processing Research, New Jersey Science and Technology University, Newark, New Jersey US, presenting lectures, seminaries, and attending the scientific meetings. In 2012, after the IEEE International Symposium on Antennas and Propagation in Chicago, IL, USA he was inviated to the University of California Los Angeles,UCLA, Electrical Engineering Department,CA, USA, by Professor Yahya Rahmat-Samii, where he presented the lectures and seminary, attended the Scientific Meetings, as well as visited the Laboratores and Research Groups. Prof. Krzysztofik together with WRUT Research Group has been engaged into European Scientific Projects, called COST: “High Altitude Platforms for Communications and Other Services”, and “Innovative Antennas for Emerging Terrestrial & Space-Based Applications”, and in the European Antenna Virtual Centre of Excellence. The Scientific Reserach Activity he has developed and conducted in the frame of the Industry foundations, the Reasarch Institutions agreements, the Polish Academy of Science, and the Goverment Grants, as well as in the frame of the international collaboration, e.g. the European COST Projects.
Dr hab. inż. Wojciech Krzysztofik is a member of Committee of Electronics and Telecommunication at the Polish Academy of Science, KEiT PAN, the Polish Society of Electrical Engineers, SEP, the Polish Association of Theoretical & Applied Electro-Techniques, PTETiS. He is also the Senior Member of IEEE, the Polish Section IEEE, where he hold the position of vise-chair of this chapter, in the period of 1998-2002, and at 2007-2009. In the cadences 2008-2010, 2012- present – Krzysztofik chairs the Polish IEEE AP/ MTT/ ES Joint Chapter. Starting since 2002,. Krzysztofik has been elected as the chairperson of the Wroclaw Regional Seminary of the KEiT PAN / IEEE PL Joint Chapter AP-AES-MTT on “Antennas, Microwaves & Mobile Communications”. He is on the board of reviewers of several international journals including the IEEE Transaction on Antennas and Propagation, IEE Proceedings on Microwaves, Antennas and Propagation, IEEE Antennas & Wireless Propagation Letter, Brazil - Jurnal of Microwaves Optoelectronics & EM Applicationsr, HINDAWI-International Journal of Antennas & Propagation, Journal of Electromagnetic Waves and Applications (JEMWA), etc. For his Scientific as well as didactic activity Wojciech J. Krzysztofik received many awards:
His research interest are in microwave remote sensing microwave application in communication, the electromagnetic theory and numerical methods applied to scatterers and antennas of arbitrary shape in complex environment. Dr. Krzysztofik conducts also reserach in the area of radiowave propagation and EM radiation hazard for satellite and mobile communication. Results of investigations he patented as well as published (>140) in the form of scientific books, journals, conference proceedings, nationaly and internationaly.
